Minimal-X Adapter Board

Short description: Makes I2C, SPI, UART and 1-Wire readily accessible as header pins/plug/connector. Used for stand alone implementations where maximal one sensor per port will be used, or in combination with the extension board for many more possibilities.

Hardware: Intended for Heltec WiFi Lora 32 or the corresponding TTGO version. See the 30pin version if you have a DOIT ESP32 DevKitV1, or the Heltec Cube Cell version.

Problem: You have a Heltec WiFi Lora 32 development board and are tired of wiring the I2C, SPI, UART and 1-Wire ports again and again with lose wires making up a birds nest.

Solution: Use this board and all typical ports are lined up as pin header plugs/connectors for easy extraction  – each including ground, 3.3V and 5V.

Goodies:

1.) You also have the space for components for one voltage divider (through hole resistors).

2.) Get further sensor connectors by plugging it into the extension board “Minimal-X Extension Board”

Features (Version L_v3 – Deployment Version)

  • 1 x I2C connector
  • 1 x 1-Wire connector
  • 1 x SPI connector
  • 2 x UART connector in 2 configurations with 1 x TXRX / 1 x RXTX
  • 1 x analogue port
  • Turn power off on all the headers/connectors (Version L_v3 only – Deployment Version)

Minimal-X Board PCB
The Minimal-X Board pulls a row of communication standards (I2C, 1-Wire, UART, SPI) out of the development board, and makes these readily available as pin headers/plugs/connectors. The pattern of connectors fits into the corresponding extension board for the possibility of mounting many more sensors and actuators. Size: 43 x 59 x 1.6 mm.
